Whats a pretender?

pretender = imposter : a person who makes deceitful pretenses
also = hypocrite: a person who professes beliefs and opinions that he or she does not hold in order to conceal his or her real feelings or motives

How many of us are pretenders on a daily basis? Do we pretend because we want to be superior? Or just to fit in? Or maybe we love that person so we don't want to hurt their feelings?

If so, should we pretend in order to save situations, are we guilty?
And also, who decides whether we are guilty or not? Only God and we ourselves know. It might be right for one and wrong for another. One man's meat is another's poison.

Some people live their whole lives by pretending. Some not. And who's life will be better off?

What is my stand on this? Be truthful to those whom you care about, pretend if u must so that they will be happy and when you do, pretension will equal self-sacrifice.
